- We left just after the Baja Ha Ha (187 boats) taking advantage of those last few hours to work on our refrigeration. We caught up with the fleet in Turtle Bay about 378 sea miles from San Diego - great sailing ... lots of wind. We had a great time walking the small town (about 300 residents), enjoying the local fish tacos, and the "official" beach party the next day. The Ladies won the the tug of war. We're headed South again today for the day and half trip to Magdelena Bay - we'll actually anchor in Bahia Santa Maria for a day or two before heading South to Cabo San Lucas. All well here - again a day with lots of wind - running the Gennaker downwind at 7.5 - 9.0. Lots of the fleet are pulling in big wahoo's and tuna. Someone just caught a 100 pound wahoo.
